This day in history - 15:11:1235.4

15:11:1235.4 On this day official documents state the ending of the Great Influenza Epidemic, known as the ‘Great Sneeze’. Although virulent, it was not a particularly lethal strain of the virus. It led to a seven month shortage of tissue paper in Gurdendorf Castle, honey and lemon could only be bought with ration stamps and hot water bottles were in very short supply. The effective shutting down of the castle had a huge impact on the rest of the country, commerce almost grinding to a halt. It was at about this time that Mrs. Begonia Slime decided to name her unborn child Mucus if it were a boy and Saliva if it were a girl. It seems there’s no accounting for taste.
